Nightmare Six - Update 3

I had a bit of a break once I had released Nightmare Six in beta stages. Now i've come back and i've began on the development of nightmare six. I'm hoping to have the game out of the beta stages in the coming weeks.

I'm now changing the plot and how you play the game, originally it started as a game were you walk down a bunch of corridors and a bunch of "monsters" jump out and scare you and that was it. Now its much more than that. Now the corridors adjusts depending on where the player is located. In no way is this game a puzzle/maze as every corridor you are walking down is the correct way, it just adjusts to your decisions.
For example, if you arrive at a end that gives you the option to turn left or right and you turn left, the events that will happen will be completely different to what would happen if you turned right. You cannot also go back so it's impossible to find out what the other path leads to unless you restart the game

What I just described is what the game will be like when it's finished. Hopefully it will be dynamic so that it changes every time you play it, but for now its quite a long way from being dynamic as I'm only testing the tools.

If you are interested in collaborating with me, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm always looking for help (especially 3D modelists, level designers and sound effects)

How to spot a fake account on facebook

It's becoming more and more of a "trend" to create fake accounts of famous people (or just regular people) on Facebook and it's getting pretty annoying. I am going to explain some steps to take to determine if an account is fake or not. If you are reading this from the home page, click the title to read more!

How to make an object move forward in Unity

When I was creating Nightmare Six, the thing that I just couldn't get right for some reason was how to make an object forwards or backwards without it tipping over. Some people are probbably laughing at this but it's usually the easiest things that I get stuck on . Now that I have found out the solution to my problem, I will try my hardest to explain this is the easiest way possible. This is especially useful if you want to make a box (or something similar) move across the room when entering a trigger.

If you are reading this post from the homepage and you are wanting to know how to move an object forward, just click on the post's title and it should navigate you to the full post.

Nightmare Six - Update 2

I honestly keep forgetting to update this blog, anyway, the game I am creating has been renamed (yes, again!) to Nightmare Six. This will be its final name.

Nightmare Six is currently in beta so it is not completely finished, there are still a few bugs and glitches that still need fixing and I still have some ideas I need to implement in the game. You can download the current version at my website (I will put the link at the bottom of this post)

Here is the current description of the game -

Nightmare Six is a 3D horror game in which the user controls a character called Jason, who is experiencing a nightmare. The cause of this nightmare was due to the events that happens during his life. Jason murdered six people (hence the word six in the title) and is now suffering from it on a psychological  level and now he is “trapped” within this dream.
If you have played the game and you have any suggestions at all, please do not hesitate to contact me.
